Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will manage vehicle maintenance, implement safety protocols, and optimize resources to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all fleet activities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Supervise maintenance and safety inspections of vehicles.
  • Manage driver assignments and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions for drivers on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Implement strategies to reduce downtime and enhance fleet availability.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team for vehicle purchases and disposals.
  • Evaluate and improve fleet management software and tools.
  • Prepare strategic reports for upper management regarding fleet status.
  • Monitor fuel usage and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety and accountability.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Business, or related field
  • Advanced certifications in fleet management or logistics advantage
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in fleet or logistics management
