Job Description

Looking for a proactive Doctor (GP) to enhance our patient care services in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will focus on comprehensive healthcare delivery, including health assessments, treatment plans, and patient education, in a collaborative clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage a diverse range of medical conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their health and treatment options.
• Offer individualised care plans and follow-up appointments.
• Conduct vaccinations and health screenings.
• Implement health management strategies and care pathways.
• Advocate for patient health and well-being.
• Supervise junior medical staff and interns.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in general practice or primary care

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems: Knowledge and experience with EMR systems is beneficial.
