Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Technician to join our Durban practice. In this role, you will assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animals, performing medical procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of care. Ideal candidates will have a deep love for animals and a strong understanding of veterinary practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine physical examinations and health assessments.
  • Manage patient flow and coordinate care with the veterinary team.
  • Perform anesthesia monitoring for surgery patients.
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Help in performing dental cleanings and assessments.
  • Conduct client intake and gather patient history.
  • Educate clients on preventive care and nutrition.
  • Support emergency care procedures when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Veterinary Technology or equivalent
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred

Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Animals
