Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Ophthalmic Medical Technologist who will be responsible for conducting a range of diagnostic tests and assisting our ophthalmologists in evaluating and treating patients with eye disorders. The successful candidate will operate specialized ophthalmic equipment and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various visual and diagnostic tests on patients' eyes, including acuity and pressure tests.
  • Support ophthalmologists during surgery with sterilization and preparation of instruments.
  • Administer prescribed medications and educate patients on eye care post-treatment.
  • Document and maintain patient records, including procedures and treatment plans.
  • Operate sophisticated ophthalmic equipment, including OCT scanners and retinal cameras.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmic technology and participate in training activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Ophthalmic Medical Technology or a related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Medical Technologist in a clinical setting.
