Structural Engineer

Job Description

Join us as a Structural Engineer in Cape Town, where you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural elements of projects. You will work closely with architects and other engineers to ensure that designs meet safety standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural integrity assessments for renovation projects.
• Provide expert advice on risk management and safety measures.
• Liaise with municipal authorities for project approvals.
• Research and implement sustainable practices within structural engineering.
• Prepare and present project proposals to clients.
• Coordinate and attend project meetings with stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Structural Design Software
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

• Communication

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
