Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful applicant will play a vital role in the planning, design, and implementation of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring that they meet both safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive engineering plans for civil infrastructure projects.
• Supervise on-site construction and liaise with contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Assist in project budgeting and cost management.
• Maintain communications with stakeholders throughout project life cycles.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to management and clients.
• Monitor ongoing project performance and evaluate outcomes.
• Ensure corrective actions are taken promptly to address deficiencies.
• Participate in regular project meetings and update schedules as necessary.
• Support the development of junior engineers by providing mentorship.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• A Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years experience in civil engineering projects
