We are currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is enthusiastic about animal health and dedicated to providing thorough medical care. In this exciting opportunity, you will work closely with our veterinary support team in Johannesburg to diagnose, treat, and educate clients on their pets' health issues. Your skills in surgery and diagnostics will help improve the lives of animals in our community.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality surgical and medical attention to animals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments.
• Educate pet owners on the importance of routine care and preventive measures.
• Participate in community outreach and educational events.
• Ensure laboratory tests and diagnostics are accurately interpreted.
• Mentor junior veterinary staff and interns to promote professional growth.
• Establish protocols to enhance clinic efficiency and patient care.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training and seminars.

Requirements

Education

• BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science)
• Any additional specialization is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of practical experience in a veterinary practice.

Certifications

• Emergency and Critical Care Certification
• Membership with the South African Veterinary Association

Languages

• English: Fluent
