Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. This role involves developing and executing test plans, identifying problems, and ensuring the overall quality of our software products.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement testing strategies for new products.
• Utilize testing metrics to inform the development process.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements based on testing insights.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment on QA processes.
• Document and review software issues for future reference.
• Set up and maintain test environments as necessary.
• Engage in performance and usability testing with end-users.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Additional QA certifications are an advantage

Experience

• 5 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing

Technical Skills

• Automated Testing Frameworks
• Performance Testing

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with CI/CD Tools: Experience using Jenkins or GitLab for continuous integration and delivery.
• Knowledge of Security Testing: Understanding of security testing principles and practices.
