Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent patient care skills, and a love for animals. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing routine surgeries, and advising pet owners on best practices for animal care.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor recovery of surgical cases and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in veterinary outreach initiatives to promote animal health.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic space.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding pet health and wellness.
  • Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care treatments.
  • Investigate and report any cases of animal abuse or neglect.
  • Contribute to the development of practice policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Additional certification in anesthesia or emergency care is a plus.
Experience
  • At least 3 years of clinical veterinary experience
