Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated Tax Consultant to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will assist clients in navigating the complexities of tax legislation and ensure compliance. You will be responsible for providing expert tax advice, preparing tax returns, and representing clients during audits.

Responsibilities

• Offer strategic tax advice to clients in various industries.
• Analyze and interpret tax legislation affecting clients.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business structures.
• Assist with international tax issues and cross-border transactions.
• Perform tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their tax obligations.
• Prepare budgets for tax-related projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Master's degree in Taxation or related field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of tax consulting experience

Certifications

• Certified Tax Advisor
• Master Tax Advisor (MTA) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
