Event Planner

Job Description

As an Event Planner at Eventful Productions, you will be responsible for organizing and executing various events from start to finish. This involves conceptualizing event themes, sourcing vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring all logistical elements are in place. We seek motivated individuals with a flair for creativity and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement event themes and experiences.
• Coordinate transportation and accommodation for guests as needed.
• Review and select event locations based on client requirements.
• Lead event rehearsals and coordinate staff assignments.
• Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
• Gather participant feedback to improve future events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field
• Certification in project management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of extensive experience in event planning or management

• Event Design
• Crisis Management

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Wedding Planner

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local venues and suppliers: Extensive network and knowledge of the Cape Town events landscape.
• Fluency in additional South African languages: Knowledge of languages such as Xhosa or Sesotho is a plus.
