Job Description

As a Lens Marker at XYZ Optics, you will play a crucial role in the precision manufacturing of optical lenses. You will be tasked with marking and centering prescription lenses according to strict specifications, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and have a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cutting-edge optical alignment equipment.
• Calibrate measuring instruments to ensure precision in marking.
• Support the Quality Control team in identifying and resolving issues.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality.
• Contribute to team goals and objectives through effective collaboration.
• Document production metrics and assist in reporting.
• Assist new team members in understanding processes and expectations.
• Monitor product output and suggest improvements where necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in lens production or optical sciences is preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in the optical industry

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Lens Materials
• Experience with CAD Software

• Organizational Skills
• Critical Thinking

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with lens surfacing or finishing techniques: Proficiency in finishing lenses to meet quality standards.
