Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Translator to assist in our projects at our East London office. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in both the source and target languages, ensuring cultural fidelity in translations. You will be tasked with producing high-quality translations that align with our clients’ expectations and brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Translate documents and other materials for client and internal use.
• Collaborate with other translators for project efficiency.
• Edit and proofread final translations for accuracy and fluency.
• Maintain punctuality when meeting deadlines for all completion timelines.
• Provide feedback to improve translation processes and outputs.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
• Assist in the development of translation memory databases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages or Linguistics
• A Master's degree in Translation would be advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of professional translation experience

• Translation Memory Software

Certifications

• Professional Translator Certification (PTC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Fluent
