Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Port Elizabeth team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting our organization’s computer systems and networks from cyber threats. You will work collaboratively with IT teams to implement security measures, monitor systems for vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of security protocols, a keen eye for detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement security controls to protect sensitive information.
• Conduct penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Collaborate with external partners on security initiatives.
• Prepare reports on security status and improvements.
• Advise management on security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Participate in cybersecurity training and education programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in information security management
