We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team in Stellenbosch. In this role, you will work closely with a diverse range of patients, helping them to improve their functional capabilities and enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of occupational therapy principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations to determine patient needs and customize therapy plans.
• Implement evidence-based practices in occupational therapy to ensure quality care.
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to create comprehensive discharge plans.
• Provide therapy in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, and home care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information while complying with health regulations.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments effectively.
• Engage in research activities to contribute to the advancement of occupational therapy.
• Advocate for patient needs and rights within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Further studies in a specialized area of therapy is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist

Languages

• English: Fluent
• IsiXhosa: Conversational
