We are looking for a knowledgeable Insurance Underwriter to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing risks and determining optimal insurance coverage for clients. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze insurance risks for various client applications.
• Determine appropriate policy pricing based on risk assessment.
• Provide recommendations for risk mitigation to clients.
• Work closely with claims and fraud teams to share insights and prevent losses.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting processes and decisions.
• Investigate complex cases and coordinate with other departments when necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the underwriting team.
• Support the development and implementation of new products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years experience in underwriting or related field

Certifications

• Chartered Insurance Underwriter (CIP)
