Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will engage in designing and improving mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and evaluate mechanical devices and systems.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to develop engineering solutions.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits as necessary.
• Prepare reports on project status and updates.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Support the procurement process for project materials.
• Analyze data from experiments and simulations.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Advanced degree is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of related experience in mechanical systems design

• AutoCAD
• Project Management

Certifications

• LEAN Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
