Job Description

Are you passionate about working with children and ensuring their safety? As a School Bus Monitor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing students during their travel to and from school. You will assist children in boarding and exiting the bus safely and maintain order to ensure a smooth and safe journey.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of students as they board and disembark the bus.
  • Monitor and manage student behavior during bus rides to maintain order.
  • Liaise with parents and school staff regarding student issues or incidents.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance on the bus.
  • Be prepared to implement emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Engage with students to foster a friendly and safe environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Provide first aid assistance when required.
  • Assist bus drivers by providing support and communication.
  • Attend regular training and safety workshops as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience
  • Previous experience working with children is advantageous.
