Job Description

Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Nurse, where you will use your expertise in animal care to support the practice in Port Elizabeth. Responsibilities

  • Oversee pre-operative procedures, including blood work and diagnostics.
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide post-operative care.
  • Assist in creating a welcoming environment for clients.
  • Educate and assist clients with follow-up care instructions.
  • Participate in staff meetings and case discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of animal treatments and outcomes.
  • Help in developing patient care plans and protocols.
  • Provide emotional support to pet owners during difficult times.
  • Implement safety and emergency protocols in the practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Degree in Veterinary Nursing
  • Advanced certification in animal care is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years in a veterinary practice or animal care facility
