Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join PharmaCare Ltd., where you'll actively promote health and healthy lifestyles, ensure the safe use of medication, and educate patients about their treatments. If you are passionate about improving patient outcomes, this role is ideal for you.

Responsibilities

• Handle the preparation of compounded medications as required.
• Lead pharmacy initiatives that improve patient safety and satisfaction.
• Utilize computerized pharmacy systems for record-keeping and prescription management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in formulating policies and procedures for pharmacy operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in pharmacy practice.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Master's degree in Pharmacy is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in a clinical or retail pharmacy role

Technical Skills

• Medication Therapy Management
• Inventory Management

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Pharmacy License
• Clinical Pharmacy Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in geriatric pharmacy: Knowledge and experience in managing medication for elderly patients.
• Fluency in an additional language: Ability to communicate in another language is a plus.
