Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dispensing Optician to join our friendly team in Cape Town. In this role, you will assist patients with selecting eyewear, fitting glasses and contact lenses, and providing essential aftercare.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fittings for prescription lenses and ensure accuracy in measurements.
• Assist in the training of new staff members in best practices for dispensing eyewear.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations in the dispensing area.
• Engage with customers to enhance their experience and address their questions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new products to provide informed recommendations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s in Optometry is an advantage

Experience

• Prior experience in retail or healthcare settings preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in optical dispensing: Professional certification indicating expertise in the field.
