Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated Public Health Officer to work closely with the community in Cape Town. In this role, you'll assess public health needs, develop health promotion strategies, and collaborate with organizations to ensure effective health interventions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the community to promote active participation in health initiatives.
• Collect and analyze data to inform health decisions and strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality health services.
• Educate the public on health risks and prevention strategies.
• Advocate for policies that support public health initiatives.
• Develop strategic partnerships to enhance health resources and programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is a strong advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in public health programs

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
• Advanced First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic
