Job Description

In the role of Healthcare Assistant, you will assist in providing essential care for patients. Your duties will involve helping individuals with their daily tasks, promoting comfort and safety, and collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to enhance care quality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support for patients in their daily routines.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls and injuries.
  • Engage with patients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Ensure that all patient care follows established health and safety guidelines.
  • Support patients with logistical arrangements for appointments and transport.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct safety checks in patient rooms and common areas.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Certificate in Nursing or Healthcare Assistance is preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage
