Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our dedicated mental health team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in providing therapeutic services and a deep understanding of various mental health issues. You'll work closely with clients to develop tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting emotional and psychological wellness.

Responsibilities

• Establish therapeutic rapport with clients to foster a safe and trusting environment.
• Implement intervention strategies based on cognitive-behavioral therapy and other modalities.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed to support clients in distress.
• Collaborate with external organizations for client referrals and additional resources.
• Document all client interactions and progress in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in clinical practice

Technical Skills

• Group Therapy Facilitation
• Crisis Intervention

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Specialized Training in Trauma Therapy
• Certified Mindfulness Practitioner

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with community mental health resources: Experience in connecting clients with local mental health resources.
• Skills in developing mental health programs: Experience in program development for mental health support.
