Job Description

As a Mental Health Counselor at the Mental Wellness Centre, you will work closely with individuals facing various psychological hurdles. Your responsibilities will include assessing mental health conditions, providing therapeutic support, and fostering a safe and supportive environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt therapeutic methods to meet the diverse needs of clients.
  • Participate in regular case meetings with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Foster a supportive atmosphere to encourage client openness and trust.
  • Assist clients in setting and achieving personal recovery goals.
  • Refer clients to additional support services when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough and organized client records for follow-up.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health practices.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote mental health awareness.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in counseling or mental health field
