Job Description

Join our team as a Shoe Machine Operator and Tender, where you will play a key role in the production of footwear. The ideal candidate will have experience operating shoe machinery and ensuring that quality standards are met. You will be responsible for maintaining machinery, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with team members to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities

• Execute the daily operation of shoe-making equipment.
• Ensure all products are manufactured to specified quality standards.
• Assist with the training and development of junior team members.
• Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on equipment.
• Document daily production activities and report variances.
• Work closely with the quality control team to address any defects.
• Keep workspace organized and compliant with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with supply chain management for material requirements.
• Help drive initiatives for operational excellence within the department.
• Provide feedback to management regarding workflow and production challenges.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical diploma in engineering or related fields is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role

• Sewing Machine Operation

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
