Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive veterinary care, perform surgeries, and lead our medical team in ensuring the health of our animal patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care to animals in need.
• Conduct regular health checks and wellness screenings.
• Assist in managing clinic operations and protocols.
• Implement preventative care programs for clients.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with pet owners.
• Document case details and treatment plans thoroughly.
• Foster a compassionate environment for both patients and clients.
• Participate in outreach programs and community education.
• Assist in the training of interns and new staff.
• Ensure compliance with all veterinary regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary practice
