Job Description

In the role of Shell Molder, you will be integral to our team, responsible for crafting sand molds that are essential for casting metal parts. Your attention to detail will ensure that production meets our high-quality standards, and you will work closely with engineers and production staff to maintain efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds by measuring and cutting materials, applying coatings, and assembling mold components.
• Pour molten metal into the molds and allow the metal to cool and solidify.
• Remove the castings from the molds and inspect them for defects or imperfections.
• Perform finishing operations such as grinding, polishing, and sandblasting to achieve the desired surface finish.
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices at all times.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in sand molding and casting

Technical Skills

• Experience working with molding materials such as sand and resin
• Understanding of metalworking processes and materials

Advantageous

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in foundry industry: Essential for maintaining a safe workplace.
