Job Description

The Dry Can Tender plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the canning line. This position requires someone who is diligent and detail-oriented in preparing cans for filling and ensuring the quality of the finished product.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the production line is continuously supplied with empty cans to prevent stoppages.
• Operate the can depalletizer when necessary.
• Monitor the flow of cans and adjust operations as required to maintain efficiency.
• Document production metrics and report to the supervisor at the end of the shift.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate

Experience

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

Technical Skills

• Ability to troubleshoot
• Familiarity with canning equipment

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Advantageous

• Knowledge of safety protocols: Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Experience working with automated systems: Hands-on experience with canning machinery and automated production processes.
