Sign Builder

Job Description

The Sign Builder will be responsible for the design, construction, and installation of signs for a variety of clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in working with various materials, and familiarity with relevant software tools.

Responsibilities

• Create signage that aligns with client branding and message.
• Ensure efficient material usage to optimize costs.
• Provide innovative solutions in the design process.
• Supervise junior staff on-site during installations.
• Develop prototypes and present to clients for approval.
• Manage stock of materials and supplies.
• Conduct site assessments for installation feasibility.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while working.
• Assist in training new staff on tools and procedures.
• Document completed projects and maintain records.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Higher Certificate in Graphic Design or related field preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in sign making or relevant industries.

Technical Skills

• Adobe Photoshop and CorelDRAW proficiency
• Operation of CNC Routers and Vinyl Cutters

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Team player

Certifications

• Valid Driver's License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with LED lighting and electrical wiring: Understanding of electrical components for signage.
• Team leadership experience: Ability to manage and lead teams on-site.
