Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our talented team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient intake and assist with triage in emergency situations.
  • Perform health screenings and gather patient health history.
  • Implement infection control procedures and sanitary measures.
  • Conduct routine checks on medical equipment and report deficiencies.
  • Keep abreast of current medical guidelines and best practices in nursing.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Participate in continuous education programs to enhance nursing competencies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related health field
  • Postgraduate training in critical care is advantageous
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a hospital setting
