We are seeking a talented Chemical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and contributing to ongoing projects in the chemical industry.

Responsibilities

• Design chemical processes from concept to scale-up.
• Conduct material and energy balance calculations.
• Implement procedures for process optimization and efficiency.
• Collaborate with environmental teams for sustainable practices.
• Support procurement of chemicals and equipment.
• Participate in safety audits and training sessions.
• Facilitate communication between the engineering team and other departments.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and compliance reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in industrial chemical processes
