We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Veterinarian to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various animal health issues while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a range of species and contribute to their health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate animal emergencies and provide timely medical intervention.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Develop outreach initiatives to promote responsible pet ownership.
• Collaborate with pet owners on preventative care and wellness checks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science or related field
• Registered with the SAVC

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic setting

Technical Skills

• Clinical pathology

Soft Skills

• Team leadership
• Client education

Certifications

• Advanced Veterinary Practices Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in alternative therapies (e.g., acupuncture): Experience with alternative treatments and holistic care.
• Emergency and critical care training: Training and experience in emergency veterinary care.
