Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will work with students who have a variety of learning disabilities, creating individualized education plans and adapting lessons to meet their unique needs. You will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet varied learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Master’s degree in Special Education or related field is preferred
  • Educational psychology background is advantageous
