Pastoral Assistant

Job Description

The Pastoral Assistant will be instrumental in providing emotional and spiritual support to individuals and families within our church community. This role involves planning and coordinating pastoral care initiatives, facilitating support groups, and managing the church’s counseling centre.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the pastoral team to provide comprehensive care.
• Coordinate events for personal and spiritual development.
• Manage volunteer programs, ensuring effective participation.
• Assist with the management of church facilities.
• Promote a positive church environment through active engagement.
• Facilitate workshops focusing on community wellbeing.
• Attend church meetings and participate in planning sessions.
• Develop and implement community support initiatives.
• Engage with diverse community groups to foster inclusivity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling or related field
• Masters preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience working within a religious or community organization

Certifications

• Volunteer Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
