Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Accountant to join our team in Durban. Your responsibilities will include managing ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. You will also advise on budgeting and financial planning, ensuring our firm meets all accounting obligations efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with management to prepare long-term financial plans.
• Conduct financial analysis to support operational budgeting.
• Handle the preparation and filing of tax documents.
• Train and mentor junior accounting team members.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial performance.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Facilitate year-end closing processes.
• Assist in financial audits and addressing auditor inquiries.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Master's degree in Business Administration is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of diverse accounting experience

Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Zulu: Basic
