Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a proactive Site Reliability Engineer to join our Centurion-based team. The successful candidate will ensure that our cloud applications remain operational, provide technical support, and will help build CI/CD pipelines. A background in systems engineering and cloud computing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems are clear of bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Work closely with developers to deploy service updates.
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to system outages.
• Research and implement solutions for improving system reliability.
• Conduct post-mortem analysis of incidents to identify areas for improvement.
• Stay abreast of the latest technology trends in SRE and cloud computing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in site reliability, DevOps, or a similar role

Technical Skills

• Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Scripting languages (Python/Bash)

Soft Skills

• Analytical Problem Solving
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Configuration Management (Ansible/Puppet): Knowledge of automated configuration management practices.
