Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Mining Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while optimising extraction processes. You'll need to collaborate with geologists and other engineers to develop efficient mine plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining operations from planning to production.
• Collaborate closely with environmental teams to ensure sustainable practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Utilise CAD software for designing mining plans.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades.
• Develop and manage budgets for mining projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation of mining activities.
• Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mining operations or engineering

Technical Skills

• Mining Software (e.g., Surpac)
• Project Management
• Health and Safety Regulations

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)
• Mine Manager's Certificate

Languages
