CyberSecure Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dedicated team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and defending our systems against cyber threats. This role is crucial in safeguarding our client’s data and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will contribute to designing proactive security measures and responding to incidents effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security solutions to safeguard company assets.
• Review firewall and intrusion detection logs for unusual activity.
• Facilitate security assessments and provide feedback to enhance safety measures.
• Coordinate and monitor third-party risk compliance efforts.
• Evaluate user access controls and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Prepare reports for management detailing security statistics and incidents.
• Collaborate with development teams to secure software and applications.
• Liaise with external vendors for security tools and services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or cybersecurity-related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years in a cybersecurity position with increasing responsibilities

• Firewall Management
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
