Packaging and Filling Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Packaging and Filling Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining sealing machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates should have a solid background in machine operation and a keen attention to detail to ensure all products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machine setups are optimized for each production run.
• Perform initial quality checks on the sealing process and report findings.
• Keep detailed maintenance logs to track machine performance.
• Assist with the development and implementation of efficiency procedures.
• Help create a positive team environment through effective communication.
• Actively participate in safety audits and training sessions.
• Maintain awareness of machine conditions and report issues proactively.
• Compile weekly production reports for department review.
• Support the packaging team with additional duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience operating filling and sealing machines.
