Responsibilities

• Create and review structural design calculations.
• Participate in pre-construction and post-construction audits.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to ensure projects are progressing on schedule.
• Implement and enforce best practices for safety and quality control.
• Contribute to sustainable engineering practices and designs.
• Develop cost estimates and budget proposals for projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification in Structural Engineering would be beneficial

Experience

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in the field

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Microsoft Project

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) registration

Languages

• English: Fluent
