Responsibilities

• Ensure the dispensing of medications meets all legal and ethical standards.
• Provide medication recommendations and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving patient adherence to therapy.
• Conduct quality checks on outgoing prescriptions.
• Participate in pharmacy audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop patient education materials and programmes.
• Manage prescription refill requests efficiently.
• Respond to medication inquiries promptly and effectively.
• Facilitate workshops and patient information sessions.
• Collaborate on research initiatives within the pharmacy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
• PharmD is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a retail or clinical pharmacy environment

Certifications

• Registered with the SAPC
• Vaccination Certification is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Clinical Experience in Ambulatory Care: Hands-on experience managing medications in a clinical setting.
• Specialty Pharmacy Training: Training in specialty pharmacy fields such as oncology or HIV management is a plus.
