Job Description

As an Aerospace Engineer in Johannesburg, you will take a leading role in the design and analysis of cutting-edge aerospace systems. We are looking for passionate individuals eager to implement sustainable engineering practices and drive innovation in aircraft design.

Responsibilities

• Design testing strategies and parameters for aircraft components.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among engineering teams.
• Review and approve prototypes and design changes.
• Create 3D models using CAD software and conduct simulations.
• Lead project meetings to discuss design progress and issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within engineering practices.
• Work on documentation necessary for project proposals.
• Ensure all projects meet safety and sustainability requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in a related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace design and testing

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Computer-Aided Engineering Software

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Leadership

Certifications

• Advanced Project Management Certification
• Professional Engineering License (PrEng) is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
