DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and enhancing system reliability. Candidates should be familiar with automation tools and possess a collaborative mindset to work with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment and integration of microservices in cloud environments.
• Enhance the infrastructure performance through optimization techniques.
• Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with teams to design cloud-native applications.
• Use configuration management tools for automation and system provisioning.
• Engage in system troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps role or related field

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Ansible

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Git: Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaboration.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools: Experience with tools like Prometheus or Grafana for system monitoring.
