Job Description

The Ships Equipment Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment on board ships. This crucial role requires close collaboration with the engineering team to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and aligns with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement maintenance strategies for marine equipment.
  • Analyze failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers to procure necessary parts and materials.
  • Participate in safety audits and compliance checks.
  • Support project managers in engineering projects.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to assess machine conditions.
  • Maintain documentation of all engineering activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with ship systems engineering
