Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various civil engineering disciplines, including infrastructure design, project management, and site supervision. You will contribute to the planning and execution of critical projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative engineering solutions for complex civil engineering challenges.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities for project approvals and permits.
• Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and address issues as they arise.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, promoting skills development within the team.
• Evaluate materials and methods for sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and present project proposals to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Certification in Project Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design and management

Technical Skills

• Civil Drafting Software
• GIS Software

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Registration
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Beginner
