Job Description

We are on the hunt for a dynamic Mining Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing production methods. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mineral extraction and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments and audits to identify risks and opportunities.
• Draft and review environmental compliance documentation.
• Provide expert advice on environmental policy and standards.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement meetings and consultations.
• Assist with the planning and execution of environmental projects.
• Facilitate environmental training for clients and staff.
• Analyze environmental data and trends to inform project decisions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to promote sustainability.
• Prepare grant proposals for environmental initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or a related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consultancy or related work
