Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems and will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing new solutions. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects that meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical designs for various projects.
• Conduct performance evaluations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Work with suppliers to source materials and components.
• Assist in project planning and scheduling for timely delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in engineering best practices.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Leadership

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in renewable energy systems: Knowledge of and experience in mechanical systems related to renewable energy.
• Familiarity with ISO standards: Understanding and application of international quality standards.
