Responsibilities

• Offer counselling sessions to clients with diverse mental health challenges.
• Evaluate and assess clients to develop appropriate treatment strategies.
• Create and maintain a supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
• Develop mental wellness programs and workshops for community outreach.
• Keep up to date with best practices in mental health counselling.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in mental health counselling or a related field

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Group Therapy Facilitation

Certifications

• Certified Mental Health Counselor

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
