Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our passionate team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing psychological assessment and therapy to a diverse client base. You will work collaboratively with other health professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose psychological disorders.
  • Implement treatment strategies and adjust them as necessary.
  • Document clinical notes and maintain client files.
  • Educate clients on mental health and wellness practices.
  • Develop community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness.
  • Mentor junior staff and interns.
  • Engage in public speaking about mental health topics.
  • Advocate for mental health resources within the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
  • Registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist is preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in diverse therapeutic settings

Certifications
  • HPCSA Registered Clinical Psychologist

  • Supervisory experience: Experience supervising interns or new psychologists is a plus.
